    Finance FAQ

How can I make hotel reservations?2025-03-18T13:08:38-04:00

WCF 2025 will take place at The Westin Hotel in Charlotte, NC. Book your room at the discounted conference rate here.

Will the hotel contact me about my room?2025-03-18T13:10:49-04:00

No. Any calls received that claim your booking is incomplete or that the rate has changed should be considered nefarious. Please contact us or the hotel directly if you have questions.

    When should I arrive?2025-03-18T13:13:51-04:00

New attendees — we suggest arriving on Sunday afternoon. We will host a first-timer orientation from 4:30-5:30 pm that day that you won’t want to miss. Returning attendees — we suggest arriving Sunday night or early Monday morning. This year, we will get started earlier on day 1 (Monday). Be ready to kick off by 1:00 pm. View the event schedule here.

How do I make sure I get conference emails and updates?2025-03-18T13:15:38-04:00

Don’t miss important conference-related emails! Ask your IT department to add [email protected] to your safe-sender list.

    What’s the cancellation policy?2025-03-20T09:42:16-04:00

Cancellations received via email to [email protected] by September 20, 2025, will receive a full refund, less a $150 administration fee. Cancellations received via email between September 21-October 20, 2025, will receive a 50% refund. No refunds will be issued after October 20, 2025 (though you may substitute another attendee at any time for no fee).

    What’s the dress code?2025-03-20T09:41:51-04:00

The entire event is casual. Not business casual. Actual casual. Really! Everyone should wear what makes them comfortable: jeans and a cute top/sweater/sweatshirt, yoga pants and sneakers, etc. We just wouldn’t come in shorts, as hotels are typically chilly. How awesome is this? It’s like vacation, but at a professional event!

How can I get involved before the conference starts?2025-03-20T09:41:33-04:00

Subscribe to our newsletter to get helpful career insights and all of our latest updates. As a subscriber, you’ll receive content that’s customized to your interests. We’ll also send you invites to the free, digital workshops that we host throughout the year.

Do you share an attendee list?2025-03-20T09:39:41-04:00

    Partners:

We’ll exclusively share our attendee list with partner organizations several times before the event. The list will include attendee names, job titles, companies, and email addresses. This will give partners the chance to plan their networking strategy and schedule meetings in advance. We expect that attendees will be respected and not spammed. We also expect that the list will not be shared outside of the partner organization.

    Attendees:

After the event, we’ll share the full list (including name, company, and job title) with all attendees. This doesn’t include contact information, but allows a way to jog your memory about people you met at WCF.

    NetworkingTag App:

Approximately 60 days prior to the event, those who are registered will gain access to our conference app, NetworkingTag (Android and iOS versions available for download). Inside the app, registrants are able to search the list of attendees and communicate with your assigned team. The attendee list can be sorted by name, company, location, function, and other details.

Attendees have the opportunity to connect with one another through the app or via a scannable QR code on-site. These connections are saved inside NetworkingTag as “acquaintances.” Once a mutual connection is made, you can see that person’s contact information, make notes, and message them inside the app. The data for your acquaintances can be exported into a spreadsheet after the event.

NetworkingTag will remain available for all 2025 attendees to use for 6 months post-conference (through May). To maintain access beyond that point, you must register for our 2026 event. You will temporarily lose access to information stored in the app until you register again. Once you sign up, you will regain access and be able to continue building relationships with both 2025 and 2026 attendees.
