Executive Spotlight with Beam Software’s Scott Wortmann

Scott Wortmann is passionate about his family and helping others, both professionally and in his community. In his role as Director of Implementation and Training at Beam Software, he is responsible for onboarding new clients and training them in the use of the BEAM application and also training new team members. I enjoy the challenge of helping our clients to use our software in the most effective way possible. It’s a constant source of delight to be present at the moment that a client suddenly “gets it” after perhaps struggling to understand.

What has my attention right now is the changing nature of how consumers wish to communicate and interact. I enjoy partnering with our clients to identify how we can assist our clients to take advantage of the latest technology while remaining compliant.

Consumers increasingly want more autonomy and security in the account resolution process and I predict an increase in the use of payment websites that will enable consumers to resolve their debt while retaining anonymity.

To me, success is helping others succeed and never giving up. I believe in sharing information that has helped me to better myself so that others can benefit from it and use it to help them achieve their goals.

“Keep moving and be curious” has been a guiding principle for me. I thrive on puzzling out solutions for my clients and my colleagues.

Always remember that most people get into financial difficulty as a result of circumstances over which they have little control. While interacting with consumers, it is important to communicate and act with compassion, honesty, and patience.

My biggest accomplishment and what I am most proud of is being a father and helping to raise a son who is making the world a better place.
