The Major ARM Industry Conferences
The Accounts Receivable Management (ARM) industry has dozens of major and regional events each year. One of the most discussed, regulated, and compliant industries in the financial sector, ARM professionals gather across the country to ensure their processes and methods remain up-to-date after each legislative session whether national or local.
Here are the major national ARM industry conferences:
RMAI Annual Conference
The Receivables Management Association International (RMAI) hosts their annual conference each February in Las Vegas, NV. RMAI, the second-largest ARM industry organization by members, held their 25th annual conference this year. RMAI Annual Conference is the premier event for any ARM industry professional and their team. Debt buyers, originating creditors, collection agencies, law firms, brokers and affiliates gather for timely industry education, in-person networking opportunities and business development prospects.
RMAI also hosts a smattering of other regional events throughout the year that are gaining traction. Every summer RMAI hosts the Executive Summit as a way for ARM industry colleagues to gather in a more relaxed atmosphere to network with one another. Every fall RMAI puts on a major Regional ARM event. In 2022, RMAI is headed to Washington, D.C. for a networking baseball game and educational events.
ACA International Annual Conference
The Association of Credit and Collection Professionals (ACA International) is the largest ARM industry organization by members and hosts their annual conference at the end of Spring each year. This year, ACA International traveled to Orlando, FL to hold their annual conference. ACA’s annual event is for collection professionals who want to connect in-person with fellow collection experts, dive into education sessions, and walk away with new ideas. ACA conference features keynote speakers from outside the industry, presentations on innovation strategies, as well as events for first-time attendees, young professionals and women in collections.
NCBA Annual Conference
The National Creditors Bar Association is a bar association dedicated to serving law firms engaged in the practice of creditors rights law. Each year the NCBA puts on an annual conference dedicated to “Creditors Rights” in the ARMs industry. The NCBA Fall Conference is an excellent opportunity to meet with creditors rights attorneys, credit grantors, and vendors in one location. In addition to exceptional educational sessions and CLE, there will be Client Meetings, Networking Events, the NCBA Exhibit Hall, and more.
Debt Connection Symposium (DCS)
Recently revived, the Debt Connection Symposium and Expo is one of the ARM industry’s most recognizable events. Held in September, DCS is geared for Financial Services, Fintech, Recovery, Collections, Debt Sales, and Technology professionals. Debt Connection Symposium & Expo combines five distinct learning styles and experiences with more networking opportunities and specialty meetings than ever before in one venue – structured to maximize the educational focus of the event.
In 2022, DCS will be held on September 7-9 in Las Vegas and will feature speakers from all aspects of the ARM industry and has sponsors from over 20 organizations.
Women in Consumer Finance (WCF)
The Women in Consumer Finance annual conference is put on by the iA Institute run by insideARM.com, the largest ARM industry news organization. The iA Institute puts on dozens of regional events each year but the WCF annual conference is the premier focused event for women in the ARM industry.
WCF is an event and community for women at all levels in the context of a common industry. If you work in any role at a lender, creditor, servicer, law firm, technology or service provider, or regulator, WCF is designed for you. WCF provides inspiration, a guiding hand, and a support system women can leverage to continuously recharge their careers and deliver value to their employers. WCF is not about compliance, best practices, or even finance. It’s about women, their common professional challenges, and how to tell their own career story – no matter where they are on our professional journey. WCF takes a unique approach to building confidence, connection, and careers.
