The Markoff Management Team – it is like no other group I have ever been a part of. All members of the Management Team care about the firm and work as if they are all owners. It is something very special.

AI, of course! It will be interesting to be in this field as law firms balance this amazing technology with all the compliance risks.

Unfortunately, additional consolidation. With increasing costs, it will continue to be very difficult for solo or small practitioners to survive.

This might be the hardest question on here! I think success is a relative term which changes over time and in different situations. 25-year-old Alison would have said success would be making partner in a law firm and professionally being seen as “successful.” Forty-something-year-old Alison has a different standard . . . I more significantly measure success with a happy and healthy husband, daughter and family.

Pray as though everything depended on God. Work as though everything depended on you.

Embrace the technology of whatever space you are in. Understanding it and how to use it will be invaluable.

Building a life in Tampa and all that goes with that. My husband and I moved to Tampa from New Orleans 20 years ago right after I finished law school, and we got married. People rarely leave New Orleans and those that do, often shortly return. We are raising our daughter in a wonderful community!

I love Country Music. The podcast I listen to the most is the Bobby Bones Show and/or the Bobbycast (where he interviews songwriters, producers and artists).

I am the Chair of the Board of Directors of Angels for Change, Inc, which is a volunteer-supported organization on a mission to end drug shortages through advocacy, awareness and a resilient supply chain. We are the only patient advocacy organization focused on drug shortages. The daughter of my best friend was diagnosed with leukemia in November 2018 and faced three drug shortages. We soon discovered that this was a national crisis and had been going on for decades. We started Angels for Change, Inc in July 2019 and have had a very real impact in the supply chain. Most recently we funded over 750,000 doses of life-saving drugs for patients who otherwise would not have had access.
