General Manager – I oversee the day-to-day and strategies for all operations staff at Yrefy, including sales team, processing team, loan acquisitions team, and servicing.

I started in 2004 collecting on a Department of Ed. contract. I remember sitting around at night doing mock talk-offs with my friend who got me into the industry, trying to figure it out.

Being that most of my 20 years in the space has been spent working on student loans, I’m paying a lot of attention to how the conclusion of the federal on-ramp period will impact repayment of both federal and private student loan repayment.

I hope that the dust settles in the student loan forgiveness discussion, allowing students to finally be provided with a clear determination on how to address their loans and find peace.

Yrefy has taught me so much; when I started here, there were only 11 employees, including the owners. The ability to have input that makes an immediate impact on the company’s direction has been very rewarding. Being pushed to wear different hats and spend time learning the technical and software development side of the fintech space has been a bonus as well.

Having an impact! Not only helping borrowers figure out how to reduce the burden and stress of their student loans; but also impacting those I work with to dig deeper and strive to WIN at everything they do.

I don’t remember what the dream was. I just know that whatever I did, I wanted to be the best at it.

We currently work in a hybrid environment, so we get the best of both worlds. Being at home and getting to “talk” with Ranger, my golden retriever, is great. But being in the office and hearing and feeling the pulse of the floor keeps me connected to our #1 asset— the people.
