Industry Q&A:

How do you currently describe your role and the work you do?

I’m a Solutions Account Executive at TEC Services Group, primarily focused on the Latitude Software platform, which serves as TEC’s dedicated core collections software solution. I work closely with organizations as they evaluate and select a new core collections system—one of the most critical decisions a company can make, as it sits at the very heart of their operations.

As Latitude Software represents one of TEC’s specialized business segments, my focus is ensuring clients see how the platform integrates into their broader infrastructure strategy. I’m also deeply involved on the marketing side of the Latitude business, where I enjoy helping shape and tell our story in a way that reflects both the power of the platform and the people behind it.

How did your career path lead you to the receivables industry—and what kept you here?

This one definitely has a few twists. I started out in college studying plant genetics, breeding, and biotechnology, but it didn’t take long for me to realize that spending my days in a quiet lab wasn’t the right fit. That realization led me to change course and pursue a degree in Business Management with a focus on sales and marketing, where I could lean into relationship-building and problem-solving.

After graduating, I began my sales career in the oil industry, working closely with growers and trucking companies in Indiana. That experience eventually led me into retail agricultural sales, partnering directly with local growers in my community. While I learned a lot, I still felt like something was missing.

I’m incredibly grateful to Rob Augg for giving me the opportunity to step into the receivables industry—an industry that, in many ways, had already been part of my life. My mom dedicated more than 25 years of her career to this space and growing up I was exposed to the close-knit nature of the industry (and even attended a few of the fun conferences along the way).

Today, I truly appreciate how connected and collaborative this community is, and I couldn’t be more grateful to build my career in an industry that feels both meaningful and familiar. Being able to represent a platform like Latitude Software within that community has made the transition even more meaningful, because I get to support organizations at such a critical point in their operational evolution

What was a defining moment early in your career that shaped your professional perspective?

Early in my career, I learned just how important family-first values are within an organization. As a young parent with a growing family, you don’t always know what challenges life may bring. When our daughter was born three months early, we spent an extended period of time in the NICU—a moment that put everything into perspective. Thankfully, she’s doing exceptionally well today.

During that time, I was deeply impacted by the support I received from colleagues and industry peers who reached out simply to check in and offer help in any way they could. That experience reinforced an important lesson for me: when you genuinely invest in relationships early in your career, they often grow beyond professional connections and become lasting personal friendships.

It shaped how I approach my work, my partnerships, and the kind of organizations I choose to be part of. That mindset carries into how I support Latitude clients as well: understanding that behind every system implementation are people, families, and teams relying on that decision to strengthen their future.

What do you wish more people understood about your day-to-day work or your company’s mission?

What I wish more people understood is just how impactful our day-to-day work really is. At TEC Services Group, we’re not just selling technology—we’re helping organizations strengthen their operations by identifying and implementing the solutions that truly fit their needs. That partnership-focused approach is what sets TEC apart.

From a sales perspective, I’m fortunate to represent Latitude Software as a comprehensive collections management system, and collaborate with some of the best technology partners in the industry. But at the core of everything we do is our mission: to utilize expert-level IT skills and services to strengthen our clients’ organizations in their areas of opportunity, enabling them to better serve their own clients. Ultimately, we’re here to support, guide, and serve—helping our clients build stronger, more successful businesses.

Which current trend or innovation in receivables excites you the most—and why?

Artificial intelligence is easily one of the most exciting trends in the receivables industry right now. It’s generating a lot of energy—and for good reason. When applied thoughtfully, AI has the potential to meaningfully improve efficiency, consumer engagement, and overall outcomes across our industry.

That said, I believe the key is being intentional and selective about how AI is implemented, especially when it comes to compliance. If it’s used responsibly, AI can enhance—not replace—good judgment and proven processes. For instance within our core systems of Latitude Software, that balance is especially important, because innovation has to work seamlessly within the workflows agencies depend on every day.

What excites me most is seeing organizations openly share ideas, learn from one another, and take thoughtful steps toward innovation, even in an industry where change doesn’t always come easily. That willingness to learn and evolve is what will continue to move us forward.

In your opinion, what does inclusive leadership look like in the receivables space?

At TEC Services Group, inclusive leadership is something we truly lead with, and I’m incredibly grateful to be part of a team that values it so intentionally.

In the receivables space, inclusive leadership means creating an environment where everyone is welcome, respected, and encouraged to bring their full perspective to the table. That collaborative spirit is equally important when working with our clients at Latitude Software, where implementation success often depends on cross-functional input and shared ownership.

We all come from different backgrounds and experiences, and those differences are what make our industry stronger. When people approach challenges from varied viewpoints, the solutions are well-rounded, more thoughtful, and more effective. Personally, I strive to keep my space open and approachable, making sure others feel safe sharing ideas, feedback, and suggestions for change. I’ve been fortunate to learn from some incredible inclusive leaders in this industry, and I hope to pay that forward by being that same source of support and openness for others.

Professional Motivation & Inspiration:

What’s a piece of advice that helped you feel seen, empowered, or capable in your career?

At the most recent Women in Consumer Finance Conference—a truly memorable one—I had the opportunity to attend several sessions that really shaped how I think about visibility and confidence in my career. One piece of advice in particular has stayed with me: your work doesn’t speak for itself—you have to speak for it, too.

That guidance changed how I approach my role. It’s not enough to do great work; it’s important to share it with the people who matter, take pride in your contributions, and advocate for yourself along the way. I return to this mindset often, especially during challenging or high-growth moments, because owning your work creates space for both personal confidence and professional opportunity.

What motivates you to keep showing up, especially on the hard days?

On the hard days, it’s a mix of simple and meaningful things that keep me going. Yes—coffee definitely helps, but what truly motivates me is knowing that even the small things I do make a difference for our clients. That sense of impact is incredibly grounding.

Outside of work, I’m fueled by both a sweet toddler and a determined nine-year-old who don’t allow life to slow down for very long. They keep me present, motivated, and constantly reminded of why showing up everyday matters.

What’s a quote, song lyric, or mantra you return to when you need inspiration?

What’s one thing you hope to be remembered for in your career?

I hope to be remembered as someone who was genuine, insightful, and a positive influence to be around, both personally and professionally.

Personal Questions:

Outside of work, where do you find energy, creativity, or community?

Outside of work, my primary source of energy is my family; while they keep me busy, they provide the motivation for everything I do. I find a sense of community and purpose through my leadership roles on the 4-H Council and Fairboard, as well as leading a small group at my church. Additionally, raising our children on our family farm provides a unique balance of hard work and creativity that keeps me grounded and energized.

What’s something about you—personal or professional—that people often overlook?

I raise show stock with my family and spend all my spare time traveling with my family to different places showing goats, sheep, and cattle.
