Krew Appoints Tim Mertikas as Senior Vice President of Servicing Solutions

Veteran collections leader brings deep operational expertise and a consumer-centered approach to advancing Krew’s AI-powered servicing and collections platform

San Francisco, California – March 17, 2026 – Krew today announced the appointment of Tim Mertikas as Senior Vice President of Servicing Solutions, strengthening the company’s leadership team as it continues to help financial institutions modernize servicing and collections through AI.

At Krew, the future of servicing and collections is not about choosing between empathy and performance. The strongest outcomes come from bringing both together. Mertikas’ appointment reflects that belief.

A respected leader with deep experience across servicing and collections, Mertikas brings a rare combination of operational excellence and a genuinely consumer-centered perspective. His background spans leadership roles across traditional collections environments, along with a clear understanding that lasting results begin with recognizing the human being behind every interaction.

“What stood out about Tim from our very first conversation was not just his experience, but his perspective,” said Michael Goh, Cofounder of Krew. “During a product demo last year, he paused and said, ‘Daniel needs more empathy. There’s a person on the other end of the telephone line.’ That stayed with me because it captured something essential about this work. Great servicing and collections outcomes start with empathy.”

Most recently, Mertikas served as Head of Collections and Vice President at Axos Bank, where he led collections across all consumer trade lines. Prior to Axos, he held leadership roles at CARite, Gateway Financial, Tidewater, and Western Funding, building extensive experience across both prime and non-prime portfolios.

Financial services is also deeply personal for Mertikas. Coming from a family rooted in banks, credit unions, and the broader financial ecosystem, he brings a strong appreciation for both the institutions Krew serves and the consumers those institutions support.

In his new role, Mertikas will work directly with leading financial institutions to bring Krew’s AI-powered servicing and collections agents to market, helping organizations improve performance while delivering a better consumer experience.

“What makes Krew stand out is that it doesn’t treat empathy, compliance, and performance as tradeoffs,” said Tim Mertikas, Senior Vice President of Servicing Solutions at Krew. “Krew has built a platform that brings all three together in a way I have not seen anywhere else in the market. For financial institutions, that means the ability to modernize servicing and collections with AI while still delivering the respectful, human-centered experience consumers deserve.”

“Tim’s leadership experience, operational instincts, and belief in empathy-first engagement make him an exceptional fit for Krew,” said Michael Goh, Cofounder of Krew. “He embodies the kind of leadership we believe will define the next generation of servicing and collections.”
