About the Author

Brian Williams is the CEO of Crown Asset Management, LLC, a purchaser and manager of distressed and delinquent receivables in the Accounts Receivable Management (ARM) industry. Brian founded CAM in 2004 and has overseen capital raising efforts exceeding $500 million for the purchase of receivables portfolios. Mr. Williams has been directly involved in the purchase and sale of more than $10 billion of face value in receivables over the course of his career. 

Under Brian’s leadership, Crown has achieved many awards and numerous accreditations. First and foremost, CAM and Brian himself are certified by the Receivables Management Association International. Crown Asset Management operates as a Certified Receivables Business and Brian is a Certified Receivables Compliance Professional. Maintaining these two certifications and memberships ensures that CAM remains compliant in an ever-changing ARM industry. Crown Asset Management also maintains an A rating and accreditation from the Better Business Bureau

Brian began his financial career in 1997 by obtaining his National Association of Securities Dealers license and becoming a Registered Representative with Merrill Lynch. He later left Merrill Lynch and began working for First Union National Bank/First Union Securities in Atlanta. At First Union, he continued to expand his focus on financial services to include investment advisory, consumer, commercial lending, and many other banking and investment services. For four years, Mr. Williams served as a consultant to another debt management company, where he advised on various strategic and operational issues. Mr. Williams attended Florida State University’s College of Business where he received his Bachelor’s of Applied Science in Finance. 

Outside of work, Brian has spent many years in advisory positions and has remained extremely involved with Florida State University. For six years, Brian worked on the National Board of Directors of the Seminole Boostersthe fundraising arm of Florida State University’s Athletics Program. In addition, he has worked on the FSU Board of Governors since Jan 2020, helping with alumni engagement with the College of Business. 

Keeping up with his advisory roles, Brian also works on the Advisory Board for the Jim Moran Institute for Global Entrepreneurship which cultivates, trains, and inspires entrepreneurial leaders through world-class executive education and training. In addition, he began his service as a Board Member of RMAI in February 2021, working alongside other leaders in the ARM industry.
