About the Author

Mary Arthur is the Vice President of Business Development for Nationwide Credit Corporation (NCC) and the President of HealthCare Associates (HCA). In 1991, Mary moved on from her position as a Manager of Deed Production at GE Capital Services Corp to work as a Medical Billing Manager at NCC. Over time at the company, Mary moved into the SVP of Operations role where she is now responsible for setting company targets and marketing goals. With the help of Mary’s leadership, NCC strives to fulfill its mission statement to remain a leading provider of compliant, ethical, and professional accounts receivable solutions that drive exceptional results. 

In 2008, with the founding of HCA, Mary stepped into the role of president and works with her team to provide fully customized solutions that meet each client’s needs. As president, Mary oversees all billing programs and helps maintain long-standing client partnerships. HCA’s patient-centered approach helps them deliver quality customer service while maintaining their client’s relationships with the consumers. 

Throughout her 31 years with Nationwide and her time as president of HCA, Mary has advocated for continued community support. While NCC and HCA support dozens of charities throughout the Alexandria, VA area where the organizations are headquartered, Mary is personally committed to three organizations – Firefighters and Friends To The Rescue, Disabled American Veterans, and the Action In Community Through Service (ACTS) chapter in Prince William’s County. Whether through the support of our veterans, first responders, or community as a whole, Mary tries to spend her free time in the community supporting others.

Mary received her Associate of Science degree in Business Administration from Northern Virginia Community College. When she’s not involved in community events or at work, she likes to read, travel, and spend time with her family and friends. Mary is a member of the National American Association of Healthcare Administrative Management (AAHAM), as well as the local chapters of AAHAM in Virginia, Maryland, and Keystone. She also works as a member of the Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA).
