As the Director of Business Development at Huntington Debt Holding, LLC, Cassandra Hayden is devoted to expanding the reach of the company and building new and existing partnerships. Nearing a decade in the receivables management industry, Cassandra has spent time in both Business Development and Operations roles that have been the building blocks of her career. As a working mother and wife, when she isn’t behind a laptop or running to her next meeting, she can be seen surrounded by her family enjoying the outdoors or wrapped up in a new book.

My favorite part of working with Huntington is the people. Huntington truly values its employees and fosters a warm and supportive culture. You can see it in all interactions and at all levels.

I continue to see major developments in technology and AI support within the receivable industry and I’m truly excited to both see and use these new tools.

In a world that seems to be in a constant state of change and somewhat unpredictable, I think that our industry will need to continue to be highly adaptable. I see a huge shift towards technology and self-service receivables management to serve the upcoming generations. We were abruptly pushed in a direction to rely on technology with closed offices and the inability to sometimes be in physical locations. I believe that many companies found that not only was it possible, but there were ways to run their businesses more efficiently, so I just don’t see that trajectory stopping. 5 years from now I anticipate that we surpass our expectations and continue to deliver even more non-traditional ways to reach consumers.

I ask myself a few questions: Did I learn? Did I grow? And am I proud of my effort? If I can say yes… then I was successful.

Lean in! The receivables management industry is unique in its own right, but it really can be such a wonderful place for career growth and development. If you are truly looking for a place to call home and build a successful career this is the right place.

Being a working mother. At times it’s also been my biggest challenge, but being able to show my children that you can create the life you want, that you can have both a successful career and raise a family is my biggest accomplishment. My children are my “why,” and along with my husband, they are my biggest cheerleaders.

I couldn’t pick just one! I listen to so many podcasts and I read a lot of books. I enjoy everything from true crime, to science fiction, to self-development.

I would work with an animal rescue. I currently have 3 rescue puppies and I would love to spend my time helping animals in need.

I love the outdoors. If I could spend all my free time hiking and camping, I would.
