What is your favorite part of working at VeriFacts?

We have moved away from the traditional hierarchy business model and it is so rewarding to be able to move forward in the same stride with any employee, regardless of if it is their first day or if they are the CEO. Our culture is unmatched and encourages each person to realize their own impact, reach their full potential, and have fun while doing it!

In the receivables industry, what emerging trend has your attention?

Integrating AI into our operations strategies to maximize our efficiencies and really take advantage of new technology.

What industry change do you predict over the next 5 years?

I feel we need to fully embrace consumer communication preferences by carrying those preferences from loan origination all the way through the lifecycle of an account. The consumer experience will need to be flawless.

How do you define success?

In work, I define success as being able to be passionate while achieving the desired results. In my personal life, I define success as making a positive impact on those around me.

What is the best piece of advice you have ever received in life?

“Speak the truth, even if your voice shakes.” Being honest with those that surround you will strengthen the foundation on which you decide to build.

What advice would you give someone entering the receivables management industry?

Outsiders looking in will always try to vilify your career because they don’t have a full understanding of the impact the industry has on the world. Dig in and do your research to understand the core values of the reputable companies within our space. Don’t let the picture that was painted for us determine your growth and impact on the future of the receivables industry.

What are you most proud of or what is your biggest accomplishment?

I am most proud of my career within VeriFacts, from entry-level to my current position. I have grown so much professionally and personally from each person I have interacted with.

What is your favorite book or podcast?

This is a tough question. I worked at a library, so I have a plethora of favorites; Kristin Hannah is my favorite author though!

If you could do any other non-industry job for just one day, what would it be?

I would love to own a tourist shop on one of the coasts. Making small talk with strangers and selling souvenirs seems like a great combination to me.

People would be surprised if they knew…

During the pandemic, I bought a 1973 Plymouth Scamp that didn’t run. With help, I was able to get it back on the road and as reliable as a vehicle of its age can be.
