What is your favorite part of working at Crown Asset Management?

The people, the people, the people!  Brian Williams has created a culture second to none.  We have fabulous collaboration, creativity, vision, and capability.  And did I mention the people?

In the receivables industry, what emerging trend has your attention?

The new normalization coming out of the COVID era has been something to watch.

What industry change do you predict over the next 5 years?

I would predict more of the same, regulatory changes, compliance needs, communication methods, and technological advances to support them all.

How do you define success?

Success is making or contributing to positive changes or results, being sought out for inclusion or consultation, all the while being able to maintain work/life balance.

What is the best piece of advice you have ever received in life?

Don’t focus on what you can’t do but rather on what you can do!

What advice would you give someone entering the receivables management industry?

You have chosen a dynamic industry.  Stay abreast of industry news and regulations.  Surround yourself with people and companies that you respect.  Receivables management is yet another opportunity to create an experience for a consumer, and you should strive to assist that consumer with dignity and care.

What are you most proud of or what is your biggest accomplishment?

Professionally, I have many accomplishments that I am proud of.  In my first job at a bank, I started as a temporary associate taking credit card applications by phone and moved my way up to Bank Officer and VP of Operations. I then had an opportunity to start up GMAC Bank, now Ally Bank, with a fabulous team of 7. It was challenging but I learned so much during this time. Personally, I have a beautiful, talented, and smart 23-year-old daughter who graduated from UGA (go DAWGS) and is killing it in Tampa in her new career of medical device sales.

What is your favorite book or podcast?

“Serial” is a good one.

If you could do any other non-industry job for just one day, what would it be?

Rancher, Travel Blogger, Food Critic

People would be surprised if they knew…

I was adopted by Americans while living abroad in Australia. I’ve lived in Atlanta, GA most of my life. With my southern accent and ways, I became a citizen of the great USA in my 20’s when I realized I couldn’t get a government job without it. Little did I know I would end up in the Financial Industry and not the Federal Government. Ha! But a proud American nonetheless.
