What is your current title? What are your primary duties in your current role?
I am the Chief Compliance Officer (“CCO”) for Cavalry Portfolio Services, LLC, and am honored to have just finished up my term as President of RMAI. As the CCO, I have the responsibility of developing and monitoring the company’s Compliance Management System.

How did you join the receivables industry?
I started at a debt collection law firm right out of law school and then opened my own practice shortly thereafter. In 2010, I moved to the in-house Compliance Counsel position at Cavalry.
In the receivables industry, what emerging trend has your attention?
Data privacy and information security are both important areas to keep abreast of.
What are your hopes for the receivables industry?
I have enjoyed working with coalitions of members of the industry and trade associations. Together we are more successful when facing adversity and uncertainty. I am hopeful that these efforts will continue.
What is your favorite part of working at your company?
I thoroughly enjoy watching my colleagues and members of my team grow personally and professionally. Many of us have worked together for nearly 20 years and I consider them to be my second family.

What is the best piece of advice you have ever received in life?
Look for every open door and be sure to walk or run through!
What are you most proud of, or what is your biggest accomplishment?
I am most proud to have ascended as a leader in the receivables industry, following in the footsteps of the great leaders who came before me.

As a child, what did you want to be when you grew up?
I wanted to be a brain surgeon for most of my childhood!
If you work from home, what is the best thing about your home office setup/working from home? And if you work in an office, what is your favorite part of working in the office?
I love working in a hybrid scenario. I have time to really dive in focus at home with no interruption; however, I also enjoy seeing my colleagues and collaborating with them when I am in the office.
What is your favorite book, movie, TV show, podcast, or music genre?
My favorite TV show is The Morning Show, and I love true crime podcasts!
People would be surprised if they knew…
I know how to ride a motorcycle.
Do you have a pet? If so, what kind and what’s their name?
We have two grand-dogs: Kalo, who is a husky, and Dulce, who is a dachshund mix.
