What is your favorite part of working at EverChain?

The people. EverChain is my family. We work hard, we care so much about improving the industry, and we care so much for each other, but we also laugh every single day. We have a culture of authenticity, and I’m grateful that I feel like I can really be myself each day.

In the receivables industry, what emerging trend has your attention?

Technology. Technology solves many of the issues that we’ve previously seen in the industry.  I am so proud to work for a company that has developed a market-disrupting technology platform to ensure secure management and execution of compliant debt sales transactions and post-sale placements.

What industry change do you predict over the next 5 years?

I anticipate more lenders engaging in debt sales and diversifying their recovery strategies, who previously have not sold their charge-offs. The debt sale industry has elevated from what it used to be and risk has drastically reduced, due to regulation, compliance, and technology.

How do you define success?

Balance. While it is so important for me to achieve success in my career, it’s also extremely important to give back and live a full life outside the office.

What is the best piece of advice you have ever received in life?

Do what is right, not what is easy.

What advice would you give someone entering the receivables management industry?

The people in this industry are awesome and always there for help. I have made some amazing friends, mentors, and allies in this industry. Ask for help, be there to help others, and we will all succeed.

What are you most proud of or what is your biggest accomplishment?

Earlier this year I participated in a 10-week fundraising campaign benefiting the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society in honor of my grandfather who was a Leukemia patient. My team and I worked to raise over $163,000. I am still blown away thinking about all the support I received from the receivables industry and am so thankful I had the opportunity to help out a cause that means so much to me.

What is your favorite book or podcast?

The Andy Stanley Leadership Podcast.

If you could do any other non-industry job for just one day, what would it be?

I would be an astronaut! I have always loved learning about Space.

People would be surprised if they knew…

Before joining the Receivable Managements industry, I was a criminal defense attorney.
