Plaza Services’ CMO Adam Parks Looks Forward as He Begins his Term as President-Elect of RMAI

Plaza Services, LLC is proud to announce that CMO Adam Parks has been selected as the 2020 President-Elect of the Receivables Management Association International (RMAI). Adam was selected as President-Elect during the 2020 RMAI Annual Conference that took place in Las Vegas, February 3-6.

“I am humbled to be chosen as President-Elect of RMAI, and I am very appreciative of the continued confidence that the Board of Directors has demonstrated in my ability to help lead this prestigious association,” says Mr. Parks. “We are in the midst of sweeping regulatory changes and I will maintain the open dialogue that my predecessors have created to strengthen our relationships at the local, state, and federal levels. Our advocacy efforts have helped us make significant progress on key issues and topics that impact all of our daily business activities. I am honored to work alongside the diversely talented professionals who make up our membership to unify our efforts and advance our organization.”

Leading Advocacy Efforts and Furthering the Association

RMAI serves as the voice of the receivables management and debt buying industries and represents members before federal and state agencies and in the courts. In his new role as President-Elect, Mr. Parks will take on a new role and participate in the Federal Legislative Committee. While 2020 continues to bring many new challenges, Adam is ready to carry on the strong legacy of RMAI’s government advocacy work.

Growing Through Volunteerism

RMAI has a strong history of volunteer opportunities and members are encouraged to volunteer for a committee and make a positive contribution that not only benefits the association but also the industry. Adam is proud to represent the association that encourages members to not only volunteer on RMAI committees but also promotes making a difference in members’ communities. As a Board Member of the Naked Warrior Project, a non-profit, 501(c)(3) foundation that memorializes the courageous sacrifice of our fallen heroes and supports their families, Adam frequently works in conjunction with charities to coordinate local and national fundraising events.

Certification Vision

The RMAI Certification programs are the gold standard of certifications within the receivables industry. Mr. Parks is a huge champion of the RMAI Certification programs and is driven to see their continued success through expanded member benefits as well as a greater awareness of the value of working with Certified individuals, businesses, and vendors.

New Roles

As President-Elect, Adam is excited to embark on his new term as the Chair of both the Membership and Editorial Committees. Mr. Parks has been a longstanding volunteer member of the RMAI Membership committee. He is passionate about sharing the benefits of membership and has been a long-time participant in all RMAI events, conferences, educational webinars, and more. This year, he is returning to the Editorial Committee and is anxious to collaborate with the committee and RMAI members to share their knowledge and expertise through a variety of publications and social media outlets.

Future Events

Representing Plaza Services, Mr. Parks will be attending the RMAI Executive Summit in July 2020. With the overwhelming success of the sold-out 2019 Wrigley Rooftops Regional Event, he will continue his role as co-planner for the second RMAI Regional Event in September 2020.

“I look forward to working together with the other members of the RMAI Board and the broader membership to promote and support our growing association,” continues Mr. Parks. “I am so proud of this organization and the tremendous strides we have taken to maintain a strong government presence for our industry, members, and our consumers. We have seen an increasingly positive response from members, the industry, and our government officials with regards to our certification and consumer education programs, and I am dedicated to their continued growth and success. In this next year and beyond, I will strive to create greater value for our members through expanded education and networking opportunities, increase the numbers within each of our certification programs, and maintain our steadfast focus on the education and protection of consumers.”
