What is your favorite part of working at Branding Arc?

The small, tight-knit team. It is freeing knowing I work with a team that has my back rather than being just another cog in the machine.

In the receivables industry, what emerging trend has your attention?

The Generative Search Experience (GSE) that Google is rolling out is using AI to try to answer a user’s search query instead of showing them a list of websites. This is going to fundamentally change what it means to “be at the top of the page,” and I am excited to get a head start on preparing for it.

What industry change do you predict over the next 5 years?

With the growing prevalence of AI in search, I wouldn’t be surprised if Google eventually replaced the entire search page with a single AI-generated response, removing the classic website links entirely. Whether your website gets seen will be entirely based on how well you can fit into the “curated sources” that the AI uses to generate an answer.

How do you define success?

“You will know it when you see it.” We have a way of making excuses for ourselves, or latching on to metrics or measures and saying “that is good enough, right?” I feel that measuring personal success by an arbitrary metric is more often used as an excuse to quit early than a sign that you achieved your goals. The most accurate measure to me then is the feeling of internal satisfaction free from any nagging doubts that you can do more.

What is the best piece of advice you have ever received in life?

“Before you assume the worst in someone, ask yourself if there is a reason they could have that would make it okay.” If someone is speeding and cuts you off on the highway, you might assume that they are an impatient jerk, but they might be rushing to the hospital to see a loved one on their deathbed. We never know the full story of what is going on in someone’s life. It’s an exercise in empathy to try to find positive reasons for their actions instead of assuming the worst.

What are you most proud of or what is your biggest accomplishment?

Scoring first place by a massive margin in a math competition that I was told I “was too young to have a chance to compete in.”

What is your favorite book or podcast?

If you could do any other non-industry job for just one day, what would it be?

TV Show/Film Lead Writer, to be able to be there in the writing room and shape the script and polish it up.

People would be surprised if they knew…

I have a custom-built home automation system that I am constantly tweaking and improving.
